A reading room, not a promise factory
SEO and Generative Engine Optimization change quickly, and the loudest claim is often the least useful. These notes translate primary documentation and durable publishing practice into a compact editorial standard for teams that need to ship pages people can verify. They do not sell a magic citation switch, a ranking guarantee, or a proprietary score as fact.
What belongs here
Research notes cover the overlap between classical search, Google AI features, ChatGPT Search, measurement, technical eligibility, and entity architecture. They are written for operators of specialist sites, not as a replacement for FoxyGEO’s product work or a duplicate archive of every product domain. When a subject needs hands-on product depth, it belongs on the specialist host.
How we update notes
Each note links to the public documentation it relies on, declares its date, and separates documented facts from our operational interpretation. Search systems change; a source-led note should be refreshed when the underlying documentation changes, not cosmetically re-dated to manufacture freshness.

If you are new to the subject, read the Google foundations note first, then the measurement note. If your site is technically inconsistent, use the technical baseline before changing copy. If your organization owns several sites, use the entity-architecture note to decide which domain should carry each claim.
